“We went on this trip in Jan ‘23 and were lucky enough to see whales despite it being the end of the season. The scenery was breathtakingly stunning and the transit time to get to where the whales are (around 3 hours) honestly went pretty quickly with the amazing views en route. Many reviews on here saying the travel time to see the whales is too long and that too many people got seasick… I’m surprised people don’t realise that whales do not live close to the port and that the sea can be rocky and cause seasickness… 😅😅 my partner did feel unwell with the motion of the boat…”

The stew served for dinner was good and the staff were diligent at refilling the coffee and hot water dispensers. My only criticism is that they could have been more proactive in asking if anyone wanted to borrow a tripod or thermal suit; you had to track down a staff in the darkness and ask for these things if you wanted them.”

“If you like beer, food and a bit of history then this is the tour for you. Our guide Bernard was very knowledgeable about both the local history of Tromso and the beers as well. We sampled many beers from the local region. A highlight was the Mack Brewery bar with 67 beers on tap unfortunately not enough time to sample them all. The food provided was also excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to do something a bit different in Tromso. It was fairly good value for money in Norway where everything is very pricey.”

“This was really enjoyable. Lovely hosts, food and activities. We enjoyed the snow mobiling up the mountain. It was a good paced and interesting drive up and down. The lavvos were comfortable and an amazing place to see the lights. Unfortunately for us it was cloudy and snowing the whole night - but the guides tried to give us the best opportunity for seeing them and it's a fantastic place to see the lights probably most nights this time of year. Would recommend. Would do again.”
